Here’s The Exact Time Fortnite’s Season 2 ‘Collision’ Event Goes Live

Here's when you should login—or tune in—to Fortnite this weekend for the Season 2 ending event, ... [+] Collision.

Fortnite hasn’t had a big live-event in a while, but all that’s about to change with the big mecha-showdown event Collision.

The Seven and the Imagined Order have been bumping chests for a long time now, and we’re about to see the two factions collide.

We know very little of the event or players’ roll in the fight between these two groups, but it definitely involves massive mecha bears. This isn’t the first time, either.

Mecha Team Leader fought the monster way, way, way back in Chapter 1, Season 9 in one of the most epic live-events in Fortnite history, a showdown that left some major map changes in the first—and best—of the game’s maps, including the monster’s bones.

Mecha Team Leader was damaged but not destroyed and now he’s back to fight in what looks like a Voltron-style battle. The four skins in the trailer, each a different color, could indicate that players will somehow squad up to play in four-player mechs. In fact, the Mecha Weapons Team skins are available to purchase in the Item Shop now.

What Time Does The Collision Live-Event Begin?

The live-event kicks off at 4pm ET / 1pm PT 8pm UTC today, June 4th, and will likely last a few minutes with some kind of special game mode preceding and perhaps following it.

There will be a special Collision lobby you should get into as early as possible. I recommend at least half an hour before the event starts. There could be some kind of post-event mode as well before servers go down to make way for Season 3.

What Time Does Season 3 Begin?

There will be a short downtime between the end of Season 2 and the beginning of Season 3. While we don’t know the exact time the new season will kick off, it will go live on June 5th probably early that morning whenever servers come back on.

Season 3 Battle Pass Leak

According to credible leaks, it appears that both Darth Vader and Indiana Jones will be in the Season 3 Battle Pass, which is pretty cool. If you nabbed the Obi-Wan Kenobi skin you can recreate the show’s rather lackluster lightsaber duel—only better—in Fortnite now. The Sith Lord will likely be the Tier 100 skin, while Indiana Jones appears to be the “secret” skin for Season 3.

Here’s the Collision event trailer:

Have fun, young padawans. May the Force be with you.
