Reality Seeds are a new collectible item in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3. This guide explains how to plant them and grow Reality Saplings.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 is chock-full of content, including a long list of available quests. One of the new challenges requires that players "plant or summon Reality Saplings using Reality Seeds," which can be confusing if you don't know what they are.
Reality Seeds and Reality Saplings are new items introduced in the Fortnite "Vibin" season, found in one of the map's many new Points of Interest (POIs). If you aren't sure what these are or where to find them, don't worry. This guide will explain what you need to know about Reality Seeds, their location, and how to plant them in Fortnite.
Where to find Reality Seeds in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3?
Reality Saplings are a new type of item that sprouts into Reality Saplings when players plant them in the ground; best of all, they offer up sweet loot. Unfortunately, these items aren't found in the wild and can only be found in specific POIs, chiefly in Reality Falls.
Reality Falls is located on the western side of the island, next to Rave Cave and Groovy Grove, and east of where Camp Cuddle once was. Once there, players must be on the lookout for a large Reality Tree, which (thankfully) isn't so hard to find, thanks to its gigantic size.

As you get closer to the massive purple tree, you will see several pink bulbs with blue light stemming from them. These are called Reality Pods, which players must destroy to release Reality Seeds.
Destroying the Reality Pods will present you with three Reality Seeds, which you can then collect. These will then turn into throwable items in your inventory.
How to plant Reality Seeds in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3
After you have gathered the Reality Seeds, the only thing left to do is plant them. To plant the Reality Seeds in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3, equip it and press the Shoot button. This will instantly plant the item in a space on the ground, and it will grow as your current match progresses. 
Similarly to real life, you will have to wait for the seed to grow and sprout into saplings. This will take time, and you will need to safeguard the Reality Seeds by killing the weeds that grow around them during the match. Failing to do this will produce weapons of inferior quality.
The rarity of rewards obtained from the Reality Saplings also relies on the tier of Reality Seed you have planted. The tiers in ascending order of rarity are Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic; the rarer the tier of seed, the better your odds are of getting sweet loot.
