V-Bucks allow Fortnite players to unlock their favorite cosmetics and items. Here’s how you can get some V-Bucks for free in Fortnite.
Skins and outfits in Fortnite are purely cosmetic in nature implying that they do not provide players with a competitive advantage. However, they are the only way through which one can show off their experience and playstyle.
The Fortnite community loves purchasing V-Bucks and spending them on cosmetics and the Battle Pass. There are a handful of credible ways that grant this in-game currency for free, and this guide will cover them all.
- How to get free V-Bucks from the Fortnite Battle Pass
- Fortnite Competitive tournaments free V-Bucks rewards
- Free V-Bucks from Redeem Codes and Twitch drops
- Fortnite Save the World free V-Bucks
How to get free V-Bucks from the Fortnite Battle Pass
The Fortnite Battle Pass now has a unique Battle Star system. Instead of 100 tiers, the pass has 10 pages with 10 rewards each. Players get Battle Stars upon leveling up and they can spend them on cosmetics that they love the most.

Luckily, each Battle Pass page hands out three free rewards which include 300 V-Bucks as well. To unlock a Battle Pass page, F2P players must reach a certain XP level:
- Lv. 10 to unlock Page 1
- Lv. 20 to unlock Page 2, and so on until Lv. 100 to unlock Page 10
This means that you can collect 300 free V-Bucks every season and after 3-4 seasons, you’ll have enough currency to purchase the paid Battle Pass that costs 950 V-Bucks. The paid version hands out 1500 V-Bucks upon reaching Lv. 100.
Fortnite Competitive tournaments free V-Bucks rewards
Official Fortnite tournaments hosted by Epic Games no longer offer V-Bucks as a reward to the pros. However, tournaments hosted by third-party organizers can surely provide virtual currency to the winners.
Usually, content creators and companies host these tournaments. It is advised to always double-check the authenticity of a tournament that promises you free V-Bucks. Under no circumstances should you provide your Epic Games account’s login details to anyone else.
Free V-Bucks from Redeem Codes and Twitch drops
Redeem codes are rare but legit. On certain occasions like a LAN event or a collaboration, Epic Games releases codes that one can redeem on the official website and get cosmetics and V-Bucks in return.
There aren’t any Fortnite redeem codes available in July 2022. We’ll make sure to update this article if the developers announce them anytime soon.

During FNCS and other competitive tournaments that bring in a lot of viewers, Epic Games often partners with Twitch and players get free rewards for watching the live streams. Although indirectly, these cosmetics can be perceived as free V-Bucks.
Fortnite Save the World free V-Bucks
Even though Fortnite Save the World is not free-to-play, it is one of the best ways to farm V-Bucks that can be used in the Battle Royale mode too. The STW community is divided into two factions: Founders and Non-Founders.
As the names suggest, Founders are players who bought Save the World soon after its release (before June 29, 2020) and anyone who purchased it beyond this date is a Non-Founder. Founders get V-Bucks for logging in daily and can amass over 10,000 V-Bucks in less than a year.

Completing quests and Storm Shield Defense Missions in Save the World grants V-Bucks and even Non-Founders can make the most of it. To be fair, the V-Bucks rewards from Save the World significantly outweigh the price you’ll have to pay for the PvE multiplayer game.
As always, refrain from visiting suspicious websites and handing over your login details for free V-Bucks.
Having said that, free rewards such as sprays, skins, and other cosmetics are constantly released in Fortnite. For instance, the Refer-a-Friend challenges have returned in Chapter 3 Season 3 and a free Xander skin is up for grabs.

Fortnite leakers think that an Eminem collaboration could be on the way after the rapper took over the in-game Icon radio station.

Fortnite is no stranger to collaboration with real-life superstars, and players think that legendary rapper Eminem could be the next familiar face to make their way to the island in Chapter 3.
Crossovers have become a major part of Fortnite’s ongoing success. In the past, we’ve seen the likes of Spider-Man and Naruto arrive in the game, while Chapter 3 Season 3 introduced Indiana Jones and the upcoming Dragon Ball Z collaboration.
Aside from TV shows and movies, Fortnite has also made its name by working with some of the biggest music artists on the planet. Both Ariana Grande and Marshmello have held concerts in-game, with their skins available through the Icon Series.
Now, Fortnite leakers think they may have discovered which global superstar could be dropping into the game next.
On August 13, well-known Fortnite leaker Hyper discovered that 15-time Grammy award-winning rapper Eminem is currently the only artist playing on the Icon radio station played when driving vehicles.
The station was first added to promote the Silk Sonic collab back in February 2022, and usually features songs from the likes of Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Big Sean, and more.
However, for now, the radio has been taken over by Marshal Mathers himself, spinning the same 12 tracks on repeat:
- Godzilla (ft. Juice WRLD)
- Headlights (ft. Nate Russ)
- Phenomenal
- Higher
- Not Afraid
- Venom – Lighters (ft. Bruno Mars)
- Fall
- The Monster (ft. Rihanna)
- Walk on Water (ft. Beyoncé)
- Berzerk
- Survival
Fans of the rapper will notice that all of the tracks featured also appear on Curtain Call 2, his latest greatest hits album that was released on August 5.
If Eminem is set to come to Fortnite as a skin, it’s highly likely that it will serve as a promotion for the compilation, in the same way that movie crossovers usually take place around the film’s release, such as Uncharted or Avengers Infinity War.
While there’s no official word that an Eminem skin is on the way, all signs are pointing towards Slim Shady making an appearance in Fortnite very soon. We’ll be sure to update this page with more details as and when they are announced.

Epic Games are bringing cosmetic items and outfits from the Dragon Ball Z series to Fortnite, and here’s everything we know about this crossover, including the release date and leaks.
Epic Games have brought a plethora of different crossovers to Fortnite, with popular fictional characters like Spider-Man and Indiana Jones becoming available as cosmetic skins for players to unlock.
The recent Naruto crossover added new anime skins to the battle royale title, and Epic Games now have plans to bring even more fan-favorite anime characters. We’ll go over everything we know about the Fortnite and Dragon Ball Z crossover.
- Fortnite x Dragon Ball Z crossover release date
- Fortnite x Dragon Ball Z leaked skins
- Leaked Fortnite x Dragon Ball Z Kamehameha Mythic
Fortnite x Dragon Ball Z crossover release date
Epic have confirmed that the Fortnite and Dragon Ball Z crossover is set to release on Tuesday, August 16, just 3 days before the release of the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie.
This makes sense as Epic Games have previously released cosmetic sets for Uncharted and Doctor Strange around the times their respective movies were released in theaters.
Well-known Fortnite leaker Shiina has also claimed that we could see a Dragon Ball Battle Bus similar to the one in the Naruto crossover.
Fortnite x Dragon Ball Z crossover leaked skins
Although we know that the Dragon Ball crossover is arriving on August 16, there is still no word yet on what new cosmetics will be on offer.
On July 18, HYPEX tweeted that the Fortnite x Dragon Ball Z collaboration will feature 4 different skins, claiming that Goku, Vegeta & Beerus are confirmed to arrive in the battle royale title.
The leaker then added that while the fourth skin is currently unknown, it will most likely be a female character like Bulma. Players might be able to unlock these outfits by completing tasks similar to the Nindo challenges in the Naruto Rivals event.
Leaked Fortnite x Dragon Ball Z Kamehameha Mythic
A few leaks also suggest that the Dragon Ball Z collaboration will bring a brand-new Kamehameha Mythic weapon to Fortnite. While it’s unclear how this will function, it will most likely let you fire power blasts at your enemies.
It’s worth keeping in mind that these are currently just leaks, and this information has not been confirmed by the developers themselves. We’ll keep checking for any official announcements on what will be included in the DBZ crossover in Fortnite.
