fortnite black and white
Fortnite is back for Chapter 3 season 3, and a host of new challenges to get players through its lengthy battle pass. It may be a chill season, but that’s because we just finished a giant war, and to celebrate, one of this week’s challenge is to dance at three crashed IO Airships.
We saw these IO Airships actually go down last season, but you may not remember where all of them are, and some have moved a bit from where they originally were. Most are in the water.
Here’s a map of where the five possible IO Airships are that you can dance at. No, you do not need to dance at all of them in one match, and they are pretty spread out, so that probably would not be that easy to pull off.
To recap, we have:
- One in the south of the central lake.
- One in the desert west of Rocky Reels.
- One northwest of Sanctuary.
- One in the island chain in the far east.
- One by itself in the ocean in the southeast corner of the map.
Once you land on the airship, you just pull up your favorite dance emote in the menu and get to grooving. Kind of mean, considering all the slaughtered IO soldiers that probably lost their lives when that ship went down, but I mean, Fortnite war is cruel, what can I say?
So far as I can tell, you do not have to be literally on top of the ship to get it to count, but you might as well, plus some of these are sinking in the water so you do sort of have to be in those cases.
As for the rest of the challenges, most are combat-based, but one asks you to gather more Reality Seeds, the new “planting” mechanic that can grow you mythic gear across games, as Fortnite remembers where you put your seed on the map. A pretty cool feature that may suggest at a larger of that kind of tech to come. Persistent changes from players to map? Lots of possibility there.
I am really enjoying this more laid back season of Fortnite so far, and I’m curious to see if we go back to having semi-good challenges like this one again, as it’s been a long time since I’ve been motivated to actually write one of these guides. But I do miss doing them. Hopefully this helped you complete yours, and I’ll see you next week for any more interesting ones.
