Fortnite Season 4 features upgradable skins for Carbide and Omega to make them look cooler the more you level up. In this guide, we'll show you what the fully upgraded skins look like and offer some tips on how to unlock them fast.
HOW TO UPGRADE SKINS IN 'FORTNITE'
Upgrading skins in Fortnite is basically automatic. As you reach certain level milestones throughout a given season, different parts will be added to the skin. Because it's so early on in Season 4, it's hard to know what those milestones are for Carbide and Omega just yet, but the upgrades seem to add in increments of about 20 levels each. There's no step to equip the attachments, they just appear on the skin as you level up.
WHAT ARE THE LEVELS NEEDED TO FULLY UPGRADE CARBIDE AND OMEGA?
Carbide caps out at season level 65, while Omega is finished at level 80. In other words, Carbide will likely be fully upgraded by the middle of Season 4 with consistent play, while Omega will be finished closer to the end.

HOW DO I LEVEL UP FAST IN 'FORTNITE' SEASON 4?
Given that levels are the main requirement to fully upgrade Carbide and Omega, you may be wondering how to quickly increase that stat. There's no easy answer to that question, but here are a few tips to help you out.
- Play lots of Fortnite: Given those ludicrous level requirements, getting a fully upgraded Carbide and Omega will be a serious grind. Survival time, kills and placement all help you level up, which means playing the game is essential to unlocking the complete version of both skins.
- Do weekly challenges: If you complete the Weekly Challenges in the Season 4 Battle Pass, you're getting about 50 levels from that alone. Pay attention to our Weekly Challenge guides for the next 10 weeks if you truly want the coolest skins.
- XP boosts: You'll also get some kind of XP boost every eight levels in the Season 4 Battle Pass. When those are active, use them to your advantage. Survive long, get kills and place in the top 10 whenever possible.
- Season level boosts: Once you've made it to level 30, there are additional season level boosts that can help push you over the edge. You can get thousands of XP by passing that threshold.
- Daily Challenges: When you're truly grinding to reach those high levels, Daily Challenges are your final source of XP income. The rewards stack if you happen to miss a day, but they're easiest to claim if you stay on top of things.
- Watch out for a double XP weekend: About midway through the season, Epic typically hosts a double XP weekend. Once that date arrives, it's your time to rack up seasonal levels as fast as possible.
There is no easy way to fully upgrade Carbide and Omega. That being said, the rewards are still pretty cool to see. Looking like Iron Man in Battle Royale is about as awesome as it gets, but it promises to be a serious time sink to get there.
Fortnite is in early access across PS4, Xbox One, PC and iOS. The Carbide and Omega upgrade process is the same for all platforms.
