The Agility Training quests are the fourth set of Dragon Ball-themed event quests introduced to Fortnite during the game’s massive Fortnite x Dragon Ball crossover event. During Fortnite x Dragon Ball, players have had their strength, endurance, and sparring skills tested on the field of battle, with dozens of event quests for players to push through, increasing their Power Levels and earning exclusive crossover event cosmetics. As the name suggests, Agility Training is designed to test players’ skill in moving around the battlefield, challenging them to use Fortnite’s robust movement mechanics such as sliding and mantling to get an edge over their opponents. There’s no shortage of challenging daily and weekly challenges in Fortnite, but even players who aren’t fans of Dragon Ball will want to jump in for the limited-time event rewards on offer. The Agility Training quest set features a total of seven quest objectives for players to tackle, some of which challenge players to complete special traversal time trial courses on the Fortnite island. Others challenge players to deal damage to their opponents while on the move, such as doing damage while sliding and after consuming a rare Zero Point fish. Unlike Fortnite’s usual quests, Fortnite x Dragon Ball quests don’t reward players with Battle Pass XP, but rather grant Power Level Points, allowing players to increase their Power Level and earn event-exclusive Power Unleashed! cosmetics. Fortnite x Dragon Ball has provided a bit of a boost for Fortnite while the player base waits for the arrival of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 in a month’s time. While players can also chase premium content in the Item Shop, completing Fortnite x Dragon Ball’s quests will likely provide most of the rewards fans are looking for. The Agility Training quests aren’t very difficult, but they do tend to require that players familiarize themselves with all of Fortnite’s movement controls. This quest features the first time-trial course that players can complete for the Agility Training set. The Mushroom Course can be found in the western portion of the island near Reality Falls, at the location marked on the map above. It’s centered on a large cluster of giant glowing mushrooms and players can find an interactable object that allows them to start the time trial. Completing Fortnite x Dragon Ball’s Mushroom Course isn’t very difficult; essentially, players have to move through several glowing timer icons that appear at various points on nearby giant mushroom caps and between gaps. There are not too many of them and players don’t necessarily have to plot out a path ahead of time as the icons don’t have to be run through in any particular order, although picking a route is recommended. The timer is fairly forgiving, but if players are having trouble, a good approach is to use the bouncy shrooms and mantling while jumping between mushrooms to keep up the momentum. This quest features the second time trial course for players to complete. The starting point for this course is directly southwest of Shuffled Shrines at the location marked on the map. Players may already be familiar with Shuffled Shrines from completing quests in Fortnite’s ongoing Vibin’ questline. Much like the Mushroom Course, players can find an interactable icon that allows them to start the course. The course features a similar number of icons dotted around the area, requiring players to quickly run between the various rock formations that make up much of the terrain in this area. The path of this course is easy to follow and much more straightforward than the Mushroom Course thanks to the presence of a couple of zip lines players can make use of. The timer is still very forgiving, so players shouldn’t have too much trouble. Fortnite’s movement mechanics got a fairly substantial upgrade when Epic introduced a new sliding mechanic to Fortnite at the start of Chapter Three towards the end of 2021. This quest is the first stage of a two-stage quest, tasking players to deal damage to their opponents while sliding toward them. Regardless of platform, sliding is done by sprinting and then holding the crouch button. This causes players to hit the ground, sliding forward in the direction they were sprinting in. Crucially, players can still shoot while sliding, making it a great way to surprise an opponent and throw off their aim for a few precious seconds. Players can use it to close distance with their opponents. It’s best to equip shotguns that are more effective at close range and can eliminate a surprised foe with a couple of well-placed shots. The Two-Shot Shotgun is one of the best new weapons in Fortnite and will make short work of unshielded or damaged opponents. Rapid-fire weapons such as SMGs also work well, although players might want to avoid using Charge SMGs as they need to be charged with shots before they can be fired. This is the second stage of the previous quest, challenging players to damage opponents while airborne. Luckily, there are many ways to get airborne in Fortnite and the definition of “airborne” for the purposes of this quest is relatively loose. In fact, there are so many ways of getting airborne that it’s difficult to describe them all here. Simply jumping and shooting an enemy will be sufficient, although players might want to make use of Fortnite’s deployable Crash Pads or bounce off the many springy objects that have been introduced to Fortnite. This includes bouncy mushrooms, certain beach umbrellas, and more. 200 Damage isn’t a lot and much like the previous stage of this quest, close-range or rapid-fire guns are best. Alternatively, players can blast their opponents with the Kamehameha event item. This attack causes players to jump into the air so damage done will count for the quest, and it also looks suitably epic to boot. This is the first stage of a three-stage quest. However, the vast majority of Fortnite players will already know how to sprint and chances are, they might complete this particular quest without even intending to. Five seconds is a generous window, and all players have to do is sprint up to their opponents and shoot them. Getting Fortnite’s Mythic Weapons can help, but odds are that most players can do this even with basic loot. This is the second stage of the quest, challenging players to deal 200 damage after mantling. Mantling refers to players’ ability to jump and grab onto an edge and pull themselves up, even if that edge seems just out of reach. This is usually done by holding the jump button while near an edge. What weapons players use really depends on where their opponents are, but the five-second window is enough for players to mantle up and hit a distant enemy with a quick sniper rifle shot for example. Fortnite’s Zero Point Fish is a rare fish that players can catch at the Fortnite island’s many fishing holes using a Fishing Rod or Harpoon Gun. A good spot for this quest is the lagoon west of Coney Crossroads and north of Tilted Towers. There are usually several fishing spots with barrels containing fishing rods here, as well as plenty of guns that players can use to eliminate their opponents. It also happens to be a popular landing spot, ensuring that players will have someone to shoot at. When consumed, the Zero Point Fish allows players to quickly perform a teleport dash by pressing the jump button twice. This is a great advantage in pitched gun battles, as players can disorient their opponents by suddenly dashing and attacking from a completely different angle. Players should use it sparingly; much like Fortnite's Kamehameha event item, the Zero Point Fish has a limited number of uses. However, this quest can be done in a single match if players are careful. Dragon Balls are rewarded for completing a certain number of quests in a particular quest set, and Agility Training is no different. Completing three Agility Training quests rewards the player with a Dragon Ball, which goes towards unlocking the Shenron Glider. Players who want to prioritize getting the Dragon Ball might want to focus on the two time-trial quests and dealing damage after sprinting, as these are the easiest to complete. Out of all the Fortnite x Dragon Ball quest sets so far, the Agility Training quests might just be the easiest. Players are meant to engage with movement mechanics that were already part of Fortnite before the crossover began, and the new time trials courses aren’t particularly challenging. Most players should find these quests to be a breeze and can quickly move on to other quest sets having earned Power Level Points for relatively little effort. This would be the third consecutive time that epic games have started a new season on a weekend, with seasons 2 and 3 kicking off on sundays.
