Here’s how to get free skins in Fortnite without spending V-Bucks.
Get Free Skins In Fortnite
Usually, skins require you to pay a specific amount of V-Bucks. You can also get skins from the Battle Pass by leveling it up by simply playing the game and completing missions.
Unfortunately, not everyone has some extra cash lying around to spend on V-Bucks. We all have our expenses, and sometimes Fortnite skins ain’t one of them. Luckily, Epic Games occasionally gives out free Fortnite skins if you complete their requirements.
Currently, there’s only one outfit that you can get for free in Fortnite. It’s none other than the Xander skin.
- Go to Fortnite’s refer a friend website
- Log in using your Epic Games Account
- Invite eligible friend(s) to play Fortnite. They have to be new players or have played less than 2 hours of Fortnite over the past 30 days.
- Complete the various tasks with your friend. You can find the tasks listed on the refer a friend website.
- Get your rewards once you finish each task.
New Free Fortnite Skins Available

There is three free Fortnite skins fans can now acquire in-game with the Winterfest underway – with the main attraction being that of the ‘Guff Gringle‘ outfit.
To secure this new outfit, all you need to do is launch Fortnite on your PC, navigate to the item shop, and redeem your free Guff Gringle outfit.
To go along with the Guff Gringle outfit, fans can also get an additional two free outfits from the Winterfest Lodge by logging in and opening a gift in the Lodge for the next 14 days.
