Although Halloween has ended, Fortnite has more in store for players in the latest v22.30 update for Chapter 3 Season 4. In a recent leak by HYPEX, an official Star Wars x Fortnite trailer showed Luke, Leia, and Han arriving on the island. The community has been anticipating this addition for a long time.
Developers have confirmed that this momentous Star Wars collaboration will be active in-game as soon as the servers go live today. This is exceptional because the original trilogy gang is beloved by the community, given the significant overlap of fanbases.
While loopers speculated on such a collaboration at the beginning of the season, they expected it to arrive on May 4 (Star Wars day). However, the developers subverted community expectations and dropped it with the title "Skywalker Week."
These characters will appear in the loop, and this will be a gameplay-based collaboration rather than a live event that Fortnite is known for during the mid-season.
Star Wars will be on the Fortnite island to defeat the dark side
This is the fourth time an official collaboration with Star Wars has been launched. Players will see lightsabers and three cosmetics in the Item Shop. The lightsaber is a fun weapon cherished by many. It is likely the island will be full of these.
Luke Skywalker skin will feature two styles, as seen in the trailer. They are named Farm Boy and Jedi Knight. This reflects the dual personalities of the Jedi. Similarly, Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa will have two options for each outfit.
These styles resemble outfits worn by the characters in the original trilogy films. They will feature face models of Mark Hamill as Luke, Harrison Ford as Han, and Carrie Fisher as Leia. Developers have gone to great lengths to finesse the appearance of these characters because they bear an absolute resemblance to real faces. This is the second time Ford has been introduced to Fortnite as an outfit. He previously joined the roster as an Indiana Jones cosmetic.
The Star Wars set will also feature the following:
- Slugthrow Rifle Pickaxe
- X-34 Landspeed Glider
- R2-D2 Back bling
- Electrostaff Pickaxe
- Millennium Falcon Back bling
- Vibro-Staff Pickaxe
Although the exact value of the cosmetic set is still unknown, it will likely be priced at upwards of 2000 V-Bucks based on previous Star Wars items in Fortnite. Apart from the cosmetics, players can also find Star Wars-related quests that might reward them with related cosmetics or extra XP to level up the Battle Pass.
