It's unclear how this came to be, but Epic Games briefly touched on removing an entire Item Shop section. The Out West emote — which features Travis Scott's vocals to a choreographed dance — briefly appeared in Fortnite's November 7 Item Shop reset.
However, it did not last very long. Epic Games pulled the emote and referenced this change via the Fortnite Status Twitter account, stating that it was done intentionally.

The tweet from Fortnite Status reads, “It's known that the “Daily” section of the Item Shop has been disabled. This is intentional and the “Daily” section will return with the next Item Shop refresh.” While the update did not provide a reason, it became evident that this is Epic's response to the AstroWorld Festival crowd crush tragedy that claimed the lives of eight people and injured many more.
Artist Travis Scott has notably appeared in Fortnite several times over the last few years—most prominently during his in-game Astronomical concert. Epic Games has not removed Out West from the game entirely. Instead, they have removed it from the current Item Shop along with an entire section. In other words, if you purchased the Out West emote already, you can still use it in-game.

The artist's other Fortnite cosmetics that debuted during the Astronomical concert remain in the game. It's unclear whether Epic Games plans to remove all of Fortnite's associations with the artist. Travis Scott has since issued multiple statements regarding the tragedy at the AstroWorld Festival. We'll have to wait and see how events unfold over the next few weeks.
