Respawn Entertainment premiered a new Apex Legends Stories from the Outlands video on June 14, and players are convinced that leaked Legend Uplink featured in the latest cinematic.
Apex Legends players usually have a fair idea of the upcoming roster of Legends, with the likes of Newcastle, Fuse, and Mad Maggie all being leaked months before their arrival. Back in March, a massive Apex Legends leak revealed a ton of upcoming Legends.
Uplink was one of these unreleased Legends, and fans are convinced that he made a cameo in June 14’s ‘Family Business’ Stories from the Outlands.
The ‘Family Business’ Stories from the Outlands premiered on June 14, and it didn’t take long for Reddit user CrystalClown96 to notice a striking resemblance between Uplink and a character from the cinematic.

At around 1:50, the camera focuses on a medic who has the same spiked hair and headset as the leaked image of Uplink. With Uplink being a Support Legend similar to Lifeline and Respawn dropping teasers in the past, players are convinced this could be our first look at Uplink.
New Legends usually have a link to someone in the already existing roster, and it’s possible that Uplink would have a bone to pick with Lifeline’s mother and Octane’s father after they attempted to murder everyone in the field hospital.

Of course, it’s just as likely that Uplink didn’t feature in Stories from the Outlands. The similar hairstyle and headset could just be a coincidence, and there’s no guarantee that the leak showed Uplink’s finalized appearance.

We’re still a couple of months away from Apex Legends Season 14 which leakers claim will introduce Vantage, so we may not know if this is really Uplink for some time. But, check out the video embedded above and see what you think.

Fall Guys has seen a massive bump in popularity since going free to play, so much so that it appears to have damaged rival battle royales Apex Legends and Fortnite’s popularity on Twitch.
For a few glorious months after its launch in 2020, Fall Guys was the hottest property in gaming. Millions of players took pleasure in dragging their clumsy jellybeans through outrageous levels in an attempt to be the last bean standing.
Despite being the most-downloaded PS Plus game of all time, Fall Guys failed to find the staying power that other battle royales like Warzone enjoyed. However, after going free-to-play and releasing on Switch and Xbox, the game saw its player base grow to over 20 million.
The resurgence of Fall Guys appears to have impacted its competitors too, with both Apex Legends and Fortnite taking a significant hit in Twitch viewership.
After going free-to-play in June, the latest Twitch figures show just how big a comeback Fall Guys has made. At the time of writing in July 2022, Fall Guys is the sixth most-viewed game on the platform with an average of 88,100 viewers.
This is a massive 22% increase from the previous week, placing Mediatonic’s quirky title alongside heavy hitters like Counter-Strike: GO and Escape from Tarkov.

What’s even more interesting is the effect that Fall Guys’ success has had on its rivals. Fortnite and Apex Legends have slipped behind Fall Guys with drops of 7.4% and 12.7% respectively, with Apex barely clinging on to a spot in the top 10.
Call of Duty: Warzone has also taken a significant dip, losing 16.2% of its Twitch audience in the last week.
Of course, it’s tough to tell if the drops seen by rival battle royales were directly caused by people tuning in to Fall Guys instead, but it’s definitely interesting to see such a drastic change in figures just after the game went F2P.

We’ll have to wait and see if Fall Guys can keep players and viewers on board this time around, but with Apex Legends Season 14 and Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 coming soon, Mediatonic has their work cut out for them.
In the meantime, check out the leaked Dragon Ball Z crossover in Fortnite, as well as the most popular character in Apex Legends Season 13.

This can be particularly frustrating if you only need to use a small portion of the Apex Coins in the pack. Now, Respawn and EA have addressed this problem by adding the option to purchase currency packs with a 500 coin bundle for $4.99.
Now, you’ll be able to get yourself a decent number of Apex Coins without having to spend an extremely large amount of cash. Players that only need 400 Apex Coins to buy something, and no longer need to spend a whole $10 to do so.

Apex Legends is one of the most popular battle royales in the world, but when did it come out? Here’s everything you need to know about the game’s original release date.
From PUBG to Fortnite, Apex Legends to Warzone, the battle royale genre has truly dominated the gaming scene for the last five years. In fact, the mode has become so important to shooters that games that launch without one are viewed as missing a vital component.
Each battle royale brings its own spin to the genre, capturing the imagination of players looking for new experiences. For Fortnite, building set it apart from its opponents, whileWarzone’s use of class loadouts made it different from anything else on the market.
For Apex Legends, the use of characters with special and unique abilities meant that nothing else on the market could match its high-octane action, and unsurprisingly, thousands still jump on and play years after its launch. But when did Apex Legends actually release?
Apex Legends released on February 4, 2019, and was available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
Since then, the developers have released next-gen versions of the game for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, offering upgraded graphics and performance thanks to the power of the new consoles.
