With Fortnite Season 5 well underway, Epic Games keeps giving fans something new to be excited about. Now there’s a brand new tournament, exclusive for Playstation users, that has a PS5 as the fabulous prize.
Epic Games and Sony have something special planned for Fortnite players. There is a new tournament on its way called The Fortnite Generations Cup. This event is scheduled for December 18, and only PlayStation users can participate in it.
You will have a chance to compete against other console players for the chance to win a PS5 console, along with some brand new Fortnite skins. If you place in the top percentile, then you’ll also get exclusive new cosmetics.
Here’s everything you need to know about this tournament.
You will face off against other players in Fortnite matches and face a lot of intense competition, considering the prizes’ quality. A PS5 isn’t the easiest console to acquires, so earn those points, and be ready for a real fight.

You’ll get a point for each elimination. Here is the point format of the tournament:
- Victory Royale: 10 Points
- 2nd – 5th: 7 Points
- 6th – 15th: 5 Points
- 16th – 25th: 3 Points
- 25th – 50th: 1 Point
The PS5 is reserved for those who come in first place. Meaning if you’re joining this tournament just for the next-gen console, then you’ll have to put in ten times as much effort to beat the other competitors that you’ll be facing off against.
Even if you don’t come in first, there are still some great rewards in this tournament. Placing in the top 2,400 in Europe grants you the exclusive Indigo Kuno skin pack. Being in the top percentile will also get you the Back Bling.
These are the placement thresholds for every region:
