Fortnite: Week 9 Quest Guide (Chapter 3) | Screen Rant

The quickest and most efficient ways to complete all of the Fortnite Chapter 3 Week 9 Quest Challenges in as few games as possible.

Fortnite Battle Royale has released another set of weekly quests. With week nine quests released, players can be granted a total of 175,000 XP upon completing them all. Fortnite quests are a straightforward sequence of steps players take as they explore the map. Think of them as perk quests, as each quest will grant players 25,000 XP, which is a significant chunk when thinking of leveling up.

Its no doubt that completing these challenges is the fastest way for players to level up their accounts. And, of course, players are granted five battle stars when leveled up. Battle Stars have been used since season 6 to claim Fortnite Battle Pass rewards, a change from previous seasons. With Battle Stars being introduced, players have been given access to more freedom when claiming which cosmetic items they would like to unlock and the order in which to unlock them. Again, this was a change from having a set reward for each level, which is significant when some items seem to be more popularly wanted than others.

With the main addition to Fortnite Chapter 3 being Spider-Man, the accompanying skin on page nine of the Battle Pass is a great way to get players working for the XP. Once the skin is unlocked, players can dive into the Chapter 3 map and grab a pair of Spider-Mans Web-Shooters and live the ultimate Spider-Man fantasy. Most quests are random, with no theme tying them together unless it is regarding new elements to the game, such as the recently discovered Klombos and Klomberries. This is a great way to entice players to explore the map more, interact with new additions to the game, and learn what they offer to gameplay and how they can be of use. For example, Klombos blowholes are an excellent rotation method, so many may not have known that this was possible without a quest requiring this from players.

Below are all nine quests and the most efficient way for players to complete them, all granting 25,000 XP.

  • Reach max shields in different matches- This quest requires players to reach 100 shields in three different games. This will come naturally to players as finding shields around the map is very common, and there are many options when getting shields, whether it be minis, big pots, shield kegs, foraged items, or slurp barrels.
  • Loot Supply Drops- For this quest, two supply drops have to be looted in any number of games. Supply drops land nearer to late game, but inside the newly added POI Covert Cavern, there is a vault. Inside the vault is an enormous amount of loot for players to stock up, alongside two supply drops. This will be a hot drop, but if players are looking to get the quest done in one game, this may well be the best option.
  • Ignite Structures- A structure in Fortnite is considered anything that can be broken with a player's pickaxe. So this includes anything from houses and the furniture inside, trees, fences, to built structures that may have been used during fights. Ten of these structures will have to be set on fire to complete this quest. The easiest way to do this would be for players to collect jars of fireflies in the center of the map and then throw them at whatever they see. The fire produced by fireless will spread quickly, so if players throw one at a house, the quest will be completed relatively quickly. Fireflies aren't something easy to miss either, with their bright orange/yellow glow and accompanying 'glow' sound.
  • Restore health in the storm- This quest requires players to regain any amount of health while inside of the storm. This quest can be done straightforwardly. Once the storm circle has closed player can restore health with any health item, the easiest being a foraged item. Standing just inside the edge of the storm, losing some HP, and then regaining it just as it's lost. After that, the quest is completed.
  • Destroy hiding places- Fortnite hiding places consist of porta-potties, hay bays, and dumpsters. Players will have to destroy a total of five hiding spots in any amount games in total. The best place to find hiding places relatively close together would be one of the newly added POIS to the new Chapter 3 map, Rocky Reels. Landing here straight off the bus will allow players to complete this quest in one game if successful in fighting off all opponents.
  • Visit different names locations in a single match- Visiting a total of five named locations in a single game. There are many ways to do this, depending on where the storm circle lands. Driving a car or boat to different locations may be best if you cant start this quest immediately into a game. However, with the new edition of the Spider-Man Web-Shooters, this quest can be made a lot easier. By heading towards The Joneses straight off the bus. Swinging with the Web-Shooters is one of the fastest ways to rotate, so players will want to follow this route. Swing to Condo Canyon, Chonkers Speedway, Rocky Reels, and then finally Greasy Grove. Once entering the final POI, players will complete the challenge.
  • Deal damage to opponents with the heavy shotgun-This quest will depend mainly on a player's style of play. Players who look to push others and get involved in fights will generally complete this quest faster than those who play the game and only contest whom they run into. Of course, the main element of the quest is to deal damage with the newly added heavy shotgun, 200 damage in total. In essence, if you were to eliminate a player who had max shield and health, the quest would be completed then and there. However, with the newly added limited-time game mode, Close Encounters, this game mode might make it easier to complete the quest. This game mode allows for only shotguns to be used, so with that being the case, all damage done in these games will be with shotguns. Heavy shotguns will be easier to come across, and players won't have to worry about dying to long-range weapons.

Completing these challenges will give Fortnite players a lot of Battle Stars, which they can then spend on their favorite cosmetic items if the Battle-Pass is owned. So it's always a good idea to complete quests as soon as possible, rank up levels, and get those Battle-Stars to claim rewards. Towards the end of the season, there will be new items released in the Battle-Pass, like extra bonuses such as different gold variants for already claimed skins. Players who love to get their money's worth out of the Fortnite Battle-Pass will find these items a great addition to their locker as not many other players will end up claiming these items.
