Fortnite has been no stranger to unexpected crossovers in recent times, but one collaboration that’s been expected forever is with Naruto.
Naruto, specifically Naruto: Shippuden, was a long-running anime series that was the childhood for many a Fortnite fan, itself adapted from an also beloved manga. It focused on the titular Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja who clashed with other ninja clans, before fast-forwarding to focus on a new character. Naruto is revered as one of the best anime series of all time, and now it’s coming to Fortnite.
Here’s everything you ought to know about Naruto in Fortnite.
Fortnite X Naruto Skins & Items
Naruto and Fortnite has been teased for what feels like at least six months, with both Epic and Viz Media/Shueisha reportedly working out the deal for a long time.
According to reports (and rather significant leaks), Naruto X Fortnite was initially meant (or believed) to release alongside Season 8 as part of the Battle Pass, but that didn’t come to pass. Now, with Season 8 winding down and Chapter 3 allegedly not far behind, Epic are looking to sign things off with the most requested crossover in some time.
As for what skins will be a part of it, it looks like it will be four Naruto characters at once: Naruto himself, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi. That’s according to a Japanese ad discovered by Abdul_S17, which also pointed to back blings and other cosmetics coming to the game.
Here’s a closer look at the Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi skins coming to Fortnite.

Don’t ask what Toon Meowscles is doing there, he must just be hungry.
With the release of v18.40, the final update for Season 8, we finally had our look at the Naruto characters in Fortnite, each with their own styles.
Here’s Naruto with Boruto as a style, meaning you get both.
Here’s Sasuke, who doesn’t seem to have an additional style.
Here’s Sakura.
And finally, here’s Kakashi, who is also in the game as an NPC.
We’re even getting a couple of emotes, Ramen Break and Summoning Jutsu.

Here’s all of the cosmetics in one handy video.
As well as the cosmetics, a new item in the form of the long-awaited Paper Bomb Kunai is now in the game, a Mythic throwable that is also an explosive. Think of it as the Batarang, but slightly fancier.
On top of that, we will also be getting a Creative hub of sorts related to Naruto as part of the crossover, likely as a celebration of the series which recently had a big anniversary. The manga ran from September 1999 until November 10th, 2014.
Here’s the promo image for the Creative crossover, which takes place at Konohagakure, the Hidden Leaf village.
Will Tomato Town also be returning for this collaboration? Looks like it might be.

Fortnite Naruto Skin Prices
Just like the prices of other collaborations, the Naruto skins will cost either 1500 or 1600 V-Bucks (roughly £13/$16) individually when they finally release in Fortnite. Sakura, Naruto and Kakasi will cost 1500 V-Bucks, while Sasuke will cost 1600 V-Bucks. Epic has found great success with this price point and they rarely ever release a 2000 V-Buck skin anymore.
There will also be bundles that combine two skins at once for a discount price. Naruto and Kakashi will set you back 2,100 V-Bucks, while Sasuke and Sakura will cost 2,200 V-Bucks. You can also get a Gear Bundle that combines all of the other cosmetics for 1,500 V-Bucks.
This means that the total cost for the Naruto collaboration will be around 5800 V-Bucks.

After tonnes of speculation, reputable leaker Hypex finally learned of the release date of the Naruto skins in the Fortnite Item Shop: Tuesday, November 16th, 2021.
That same day, Fortnite themselves confirmed the collaboration.
The collaboration should last for at least a week just based on other crossovers. It may even last until Chapter 3, which is expected in early December.
