Can You Build In Fortnite?
Can You Build In Fortnite during Chapter 3 Season 2? The answer is no, you’re currently unable to build any kind of structure in the normal game mode. The reason behind this is tied to the current storyline, with Dr. Slone featured in the official trailer doing away with the ability. The No Building Rule means that Fortnite needs to be played differently, with matches being subject to new rules.
Instead of building giant towers, Fortnite fans must secure the best locations using all the parkour skills currently available in-game. And to help maintain cover, Fortnite gamers now have an Overshield on top of their Shield and Health.
The Overshield is your first line of defence: before your Shield and Health take a hit, it’s your Overshield that’ll crack. Your Overshield will still recover if it goes all the way down to 0. It brings Fortnite more in line with other Battle Royale titles, including rivals like Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone. Epic Games hasn’t shared why they have made such drastic changes, or when they might reverse them.
Based on recent reports, Fortnite building will be coming back to the game on March 29. However, fans should note that these are rumours only and should be taken with a big pinch of salt until we hear more from Epic Games. Epic Games has also confirmed that Fortnite building has not been removed in competitive/Arena playlists as well as in Team Rumble and Creative Islands. So there are still ways to enjoy the normal rules of building in Fortnite during the early days of Chapter 3 Season 2.
