Each time Fortnite enters a new Season there is always something different going on related to its theme. This Season is called Resistance and it's all about the game's lore, the IO, and the Seven. There are tanks everywhere, hostile AI bots, strong bosses, new weapons, and new mechanics. There is a new set of weekly quests called the Resistance quests. They will come out each Tuesday and unlike weekly quests, you'll have to complete a stage to move on to another stage, you can pick off quests as you go - there is an order to them. But before you gain access to the Resistance quests, you'll have to finish the Rebuilding quests. As soon as you start the Season, you'll get something called Rebuilding quests. Once you get through all of these quests, you'll receive the Resistance quests. Both Rebuilding quests and Resistance quests require you to visit many different locations to get through them. You will have to find items in specific spots in these locations but it's not as hard as it sounds. You can check your Quests tab if you press the Map button, then select the quest you're on, and it'll show you where on the map to go to do it and all the different areas where you can find whatever you're looking for. Once in-game and on the POI, on your minimap, an icon of a question mark inside a square will appear, which means it's a location where you find something for a quest. To get the first proper rebuilding quests you'll have to complete recruitment training as part of the Boot Camp quests. The Boot Camp quests are a tutorial to introduce players to this Season's new mechanics such as tactical sprinting and the ability to mantle. So, you'll have to finish the sprinting boot camp, the mantle boot camp, and the sliding boot camp. Afterward, you'll gain full access to the rest of the Rebuilding quests. As you progress through these quests, you'll have to establish Device Uplink a few times so it's important to know exactly what you're looking for. Head to the quest marker on your map and soon enough you'll come across a beacon on the floor that projects a holographic image. Walk through it to move on to the next quest. Head to any location ruled by the Seven, such as the Sanctuary or any Seven Outpost. You will find computers and other types of technology. Hit it with your pickaxe until its health drops down to zero and it's destroyed. Each piece of equipment will drop a Data Chip. As the name indicated, the IO Build Jammer is cloaked therefore it's very hard to spot since it's nearly invisible. They are spread across the map near these locations and as soon as you get close to one an icon will appear on your minimap so be sure to be on the lookout for that. It'll start to become more visible as you get closer to it. Once you've found the IO Build Jammer hit it with your pickaxe to destroy it. Resistance quests will become available right after you've destroyed the cloaked IO Build Jammer. On top of the regular weekly quests that we're all used to, these are a great way to level up quickly. Each quest is worth 23,000XP which is nearly a third of a level. These quests will have you visiting all kinds of different places on the island which is a great way to get to know the map a little better and go to certain spots that you usually wouldn't bother going to. You'll be establishing a lot of Device Uplinks, just like in the previous set of quests, but for such a large amount of experience points, so it's completely worth the trouble. The first week of the Resistance quests starts with six quests which when summed up are worth a total of 138,000XP, which is something you don't want to pass on if you're trying to get all Battle Pass rewards as soon as you can. Neither of these quests is too complicated, fortunately, so here's what you'll have to do. For this quest, you'll have to deploy one sensor at each of these locations. If you open your map and check the Resistance quests section the game will show you the exact spots where the sensors can be found in each location. Each POI has three possible sensor locations. Visit any IO Airship for this quest. Head to the tail section of the ship and you'll see the quest marker on your minimap. Approach it and plant the Data Scraper, you only need to do this one time. This second week has a couple more challenges, ten to be exact. This means that if you do all of them you'll get 230,000XP which is pretty hefty and a nice boost this early on in the Season. For nearly all of them you'll have to visit a certain location to establish a Device Uplink and then follow it up with a task. In the same places where you established the Device Uplink just before is where you can find the missing Battle Bus plans, so it's ideal to try and complete these two quests in the same match. The quest mark will appear on your screen once you're at one of these locations, approach it and recover the plans. This is quite similar to collecting Seven Data Chips, you'll have to damage equipment to collect an item. However, this time you don't need to fully destroy it. You can hit or shoot at a tank and occasionally armor samples will fall out of it. Then, all you have to do is pick them up. Tanks are in high demand in-game at the moment since they're very powerful and there aren't that many of them around. The easiest way to complete this challenge is to play Team Rumble since there are fewer players and half of them can't damage you. It's the third week of Resistance quests and the fight is intensifying. New challenges have dropped and new Battle Pass bonus rewards have been revealed so it's time to start completing them to level up quickly. Here are all the Resistance quests for this week: There are only two Armored Battle Bus spawns, one in Synapse Station and another one in Sanctuary so it's much easier to complete this quest using a Cow Catcher. Cow Catchers can be found inside red metal boxes. Then, once you've got one, you can find road barriers in all POIs with IO Airships flying over them. Drive through five barriers and you're done. On your map, you will see targets marked near Command Cavern, Chonker's Speedway, and the Daily Bugle. You will have to hit all of these targets from a distance of at least 75 meters. To see how far away you are, you can place a marker near them and it will appear on your screen. There are Data Receivers near Camp Cuddle and The Joneses. Destroy all of the structures that are above them so you can establish a connection. Then, once you've done this interact with the receiver to collect its data. Next to the Device Uplink location, you'll find a Disguise Kit, then walk into the POI and place Weapon Schematics. The locations are marked on your minimap. The fourth week of Resistance quests starts with Condo Canyon now being a Battle location for the Imagined Order. The IO Airship that was flying over the Daily Bugle has been taken down and it's now in flames floating in the water on the eastern side of the Battle Royale island - it is now a new landmark called the Daily Rubble; you can visit it and receive 1,000XP as a reward for discovering a new map area. This week you'll be able to use the Egg Launcher since the Easter event has started, so try to take advantage of this to protect yourself while doing these quests. Here are the six quests you'll have to complete, each of them worth 23,000XP. In the lake in front of the lumberyard, there are four Aquatic Communication Relays; you can see them floating above the water. Approach three of these relays and press the 'Deploy' button to finish the quest. Be careful, though, you are particularly unprotected once in the water. At each Seven Outpost, there is a drone that you can use to transmit data - except for the Seven Outpost near Logjam Lumberyard, which has two drones. You only need to transmit data, so look at your minimap to find the quest marker which is exactly where you'll find the drone. There are five possible locations around Sanctuary where you can place anti-tank rounds - neither of them is too far away from the others so you should be able to do this quest without running into too much trouble. They will all be located on your map in the Resistance quests tab and their location will also appear on your minimap. The Condo Canyon IO Airship has fallen as well and is now floating on the northeastern corner of the map. The battle intensified and moved to Coney Crossroad. This week there are new Resistance quests to do so that you can contribute and do your part in this epic fight. You can establish a Device Uplink in any preferred location but you'll have to visit each one of them to complete the next quest. You'll have to plant three wiretaps; there's one in Command Cavern, another one in the Fortress, and another one in Loot Lake. Once you're there, a quest marker will appear on your minimap. You will see the silhouette of a box-like object; approach it and press 'plant wiretap.' Although you won't have to visit the Daily Rubble landmark to establish a Device Uplink, you can find the device nearby, so you'll have to go there to recover the data drive. The easiest one to grab is on top of the crashed airship, you can easily glide on top of it and grab it as soon as you land or climb it if you swim near the airship's location. You need to establish communication with the Paradigm so you'll need to help the Imagined by setting up a direct relay in Sanctuary. There are three locations where you'll be able to do this. Follow any of the three available quest markers and select 'activate relay' once you're close enough. There are five weapon rarities in Fortnite (common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary). You will have to find weapons with four of these rarities and mark them. Finding an epic or legendary weapon may prove more difficult, so if you're having trouble, you can search supply drops or even upgrade them at an Upgrade Bench. However, this is a bit expensive and you should only consider it if you have some gold bars to spare. During this week, you'll have to complete more Resistance quests than ever before. You might want to take a break halfway through them since it might take a while. They will ask you to travel all around the map and even revisit certain locations more than once. Here are all the Resistance quests for this week. There are six camera locations around Loot Lake. You will see their location marked on your map in the Resistance quests section in the Quests tab. They are all equally well scattered, so be careful while navigating around the lake - you will be particularly vulnerable when swimming. Approach the cameras and interact with them to set them up. Although each week there are fewer IO forces around the map, they can still be found in tanks around it, as well as the remaining IO Airships. Eliminate an IO force so it'll drop its IO Credentials. After that, don't forget to pick it up. There are drop-off locations at the Joneses. After you've collected the IO Credentials, go to the Joneses POI to deliver them. It doesn't have to be done in the same match, so don't worry if you're eliminated or if it's out of the safe zone. Near whichever location you chose to visit, a quest marker will appear on your map showing where you can find the Dead Drop. It looks like a box with a red and white symbol on it. Approach it and press the 'search Dead Drop' button to move on to the next quests. You can find laser target designators near all of the locations where you could establish a Device Uplink. One is next to the bridge, north of Command Cavern; the other one is next to the trailer park, near the Fortress; the last one is north of the watchtower between Loot Lake and Coney Crossroads. Another week means there are new Resistance quests to get through to earn more delicious experience points. This just might be what you need to complete the Battle Pass and start earning bonus rewards, so let's get to it. You'll have to visit IO Outposts and follow the quest markers once there. You need to hack a total of three IO Loudspeakers to move on with the Resistance quests for this week. Each IO Outpost has a loudspeaker near the stairs that lead up to the tower; hack into it and then move on to the next location. There are only three locations over which the IO Forces still have power and that are Tilted Towers, The Fortress, and Command Cavern. So, these are the only places where you can complete this quest. You'll have to visit these locations, follow the quest markers to find the IO munitions, and then press the 'Swap Munitions' button. Just like the previous quests, there are only three locations where you'll be able to find these specific white filing cabinets. In the Wreck Ravine landmark directly west of Logjam Lumberyard, in Logjam Lumberyard, and inside The Fortress. Once you're there, hit the filing cabinet with your pickaxe to destroy it, and then a file will pop out. All you have to do is pick it up and you'll complete this mission. Inside Command Cavern there are IO Servers. They are shown on your minimap as quest markers so simply get to them to find the servers. Then, press and hold the 'Hack Server' button. Hacking the server takes a bit longer than usual, so be careful to not get attacked while doing this. The battle might be coming to an end since nearly all IO Airships have been taken down over these past few weeks. The Seven are already celebrating and it's your job to spread the news and clean up the mess, so these quests will be slightly different compared to the usual. Here are this week's quests: You have to talk to all of these characters and update them about what's going on regarding the battle between the IO and the Seven. You can find Mancake at Butter Barn, next to Rocky Reels, Bao Bros at Condo Canyon, and Lil Whip at Coney Crossroads. The Seven had a little celebration party at Sanctuary and it's your job to clean it up. There are stinky and empty pizza boxes and trash bags everywhere at this POI. Head over there and clean it up by hitting the trash with your pickaxe. If you're having trouble finding it, just look at your minimap - it'll be filled with quest markers. Unfortunately, it's not all about partying this week. You'll have to collect some signal jammers. They're all on top of mountains. So, you'll have to visit the mountain next to Seven Outpost II, the mountain east of Logjam Lumberyard and west of Sleepy Sound, and the mountain just south of Command Cavern. Approach the device and press the 'Collect Signal Jammer' button. After you've helped The Imagined with the signal jammers, all you have to do this week is find some water and swim in it. You need to find a Sensor Backpack and go to Loot Lake to find energy fluctuation. You can pick up the Backpack on the road that leads you from Rocky Reels to Tilted Towers or the Road that leads you from Greasy Grove to The Fortress (a marker will appear on your map.) There is a red line on your map and once you get to Loot Lake, you'll notice the Backpack will beep faster if you're near it. You should find energy here: Approach it and scan it to finish this week's final Resistance quest. We've just started the ninth week of Resistance quests, which means we're nearly through with them for good. Resistance quests will come every week until the eleventh week of the Season. Then, we'll enter a new Season and none of the previous Season's challenges will remain available. So, if you haven't already, it's best to get on them as soon as you can so you can earn as much XP as possible before it ends. Here's what you'll need to do this week: There are fishing holes all over the island, including near Sleepy Sound and Camp Cuddle, so you don't have to look very far away from where you established the Device Uplink. Use the Harpoon Gun to fish much faster compared to the fishing poles. Whenever you pull something out of the water, a Mech Part will come out as well. Approach it and then select and hold the "collect Mech Part" button that will appear on your screen. Inside the IO base in Command Cavern, you can find IO servers. They look like really old and large computers, they will appear as quest marks on your minimap. Get close to one and then press the 'search archive' button to look through the personnel files. There are various entries with different names, you have to examine an entry and then see the next one until you've gone through all of them. Near each Seven Outpost, there is a Seismometer and you'll have to calibrate one of them. Once you're at one of the Outposts, check your minimap to find the quest marker, then follow it. Simply jump near it to calibrate it and finish the quest. This week that's all there is to when it comes to Resistance quests. Stay tuned for more next week. We're just a week away from the last set of Resistance quests that will ever be released as this Season comes to an end. But there is still work for you to do on the Battle Royale island before wrapping this up, you'll still have to establish a couple of new Device Uplinks in specific locations before we can move on to the next Season of Fortnite. The Imagined is still having trouble remembering her past, help her out by patching her into a loudspeaker in Sanctuary. The speakers' locations are marked on your minimap as quest markers, approach them and press the "override speaker" option. To activate the machine in loot lake, you'll have to find two Control Keys but they're hidden in high-security locations. You can find the first key at The Fortress, it'll be next to the campfire, right by the giant drill, and then, you can find the second key at The Collider, below a bridge behind the reboot van. Cut IO's power inside Command Cavern. Enter through the main entrance, go up the stairs, and turn right, open the door and you'll see an air duct. Go inside and you'll see the Control Panel, destroy it to cut its power. Next, you'll want to enter through the river entrance, you'll notice a giant drill right in front of it. There's also an air duct behind it, you'll want to go inside. Then, exit this place, and go to the structure that's behind Gunnar, behind the stairs that lead up to it is exactly where you'll see the next air duct you'll have to enter. There are several steps that you'll have to follow to complete this last part of this week's set of quests. First, follow the quest marker into the air vent near the entrance of Command Cavern. Once in there press the "deploy generator" button. After you'll have to insert two control keys and then lastly on top of the table you'll have to press "activate Holotable." This is the last week of Resistance quests since this Fortnite Season will be coming to an end Saturday once the live event starts. Then, you will no longer have access to these quests, so you'll have to complete them as soon as you can if you want to finish them. There are three possible locations to active an emergency beacon in both of these POIs. You can check your map in the Resistance quests tab to see their precise location. Once you're close to them, all you have to do is approach them and press "activate emergency beacon." You can find the Charge Pack right next to the Device Uplink locations, then all you have to do is go to Command Cavern and collect fuel cells (the quest marks on your screen.) You'll have to be quick and get back to one of the Outposts before the backpack is below 50 percent charge. Unfortunately, you have to complete all the stages for this quest in one go, or else you'll have to re-do it. If you want to do this challenge without having to go around eliminating players, you can deal damage to other types of opponents such as Loot Sharks and IO guards. Dealing damage to bosses is also a great way to do this in one go, so grab yourself an MK-Seven and get down to business. Whether you've decided to go to Condo Canyon or Logjam Lumberyard, there's a Seven Outpost nearby. All you have to do is grab yourself a car and bring it over to the Outpost. This can be a bit tricky, especially if you decided to use the Whiplash for the quest. It's best to use a slow truck so you don't accidentally exceed the speed of 60. However, this is your last Resistance quest, so once you get through it you're officially done. NEXT: Fortnite: All Omni Sword Quests How To Complete Rebuilding Quests
