The map has gone through plenty of changes with the release of Fortnite Paradise, but one particular change that might surprise some are new Security Vaults. Vaults have been a thing since the release of Chapter 2 Season 2, but the difference now is that keys are required to open them. Whilst keys are easy enough to find, mainly being found in chests or as regular ground loot, but finding them is just the first step. For those of you who are yet to find out where the Security Vaults are located, read on to find out.
High-Security Vaults are large vaults usually located within a select few named locations. Out of the two vault types, the High-Security Vaults are the most lucrative. However, they will require two keys to gain access to the loot they contain inside. These vaults can be found at:
Rave Cave
Rave now features a blimp in its area once again in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4, but this time it contains something lucrative. Head over to The Flairship and you will find a High-Security Vault within. But be cautious, as Rave Cave tends to be a pretty highly contested drop spot.
Lustrous Lagoon
The pirate ship at Lustrous Lagoon has taken to the skies to avoid the Chrome spreading around the island. However, that is not the only thing different about this ship. Head below the deck to find the High-Security Vault hidden within. Make sure you have at least two keys before heading here, otherwise you’ll be unable to snag that precious treasure.
Tilted Towers
Tilted Towers is a fan-favorite location and draws much attention during early-game. With the inclusion of a vault, it’s no doubt that this location is about to get even more contested. Head over to the No Sweat Insurance building and you will find a High-Security Vault located on the bottom floor.
North of Cloudy Condos
North of Cloudy Condos lies the least inconspicuous vault on this list. When heading here, be sure to watch your back for this vault is out in the open for all players to see. If you are caught in a pinch, then take the zipline up and escape through the balloon.
Low-Security Vaults
Low-Security Vaults are scattered throughout the Fortnite island and can be found in many low-profile areas or off the coast of named locations. These vaults only require one key to open, but are not as lucrative as High-Security Vaults. These vaults can be found in these key areas:
Seven Outpost II
Located northwest of Logjam Junction, the Seven Outpost II stands atop a snowy hillside. Much like the previous season, this location hides a secret vault at its base. The only difference here is that you will need a key to access it. This vault is easy enough to find and is also located in a fairly secluded area, so don’t worry too much about being ambushed here.
Seven Outpost III
Located northeast of Lustrous Lagoon you will find the Seven Outpost III which contains a Low-Security Vault in its base. Most of the surrounding players may be too busy battling it out over at the pirate ship, so if you have a key then it will be easy picking over the loot in this remote location.

Seven Outpost IV
Seven Outpost IV contains a Low-Security Vault and you can find it south of Condo Canyon. If you find a key quick enough then you may be able to secure the loot inside before stragglers start migrating over from the surrounding areas.
Seven Outpost V
Yet another outpost is left standing and contains a vault located at its base. Found west of Rave Cave, the Seven Outpost V is a fairly secluded area that also features a Low-Security Vault. If you are able to secure the loot but need to head over to the circle quickly, make use of the rifts in this area for faster travel.
Seven Outpost VII
Seven Outpost VII is the final outpost to feature a Low-Security Vault. Players can find this building northeast of Fort Jonesy, on a small remote island located near Herald’s Sanctum. Once you are done looting this vault, boats are available to make a quick getaway to the mainland.
Rave Cave
The vault located at the base of Rave Cave still stands but will require a key to access it since the release of Chapter 3 Season 4. However, this vault still provides high-tier loot for anyone who manages to open it. Be on the lookout at this location, for Rave Cave tends to attract a lot of attention.
Displaced Depot
Displaced Depot does not get many visitors, so players may be surprised to find out that it hides a Low-Security Vault in its vicinity. Head near the coast and west of Greasy Grove, and find the blue storage unit. Here you will find a vault, and because this area is so remote you may not encounter a single player.
Southwest of Tilted Towers
Most players may not know that there is another vault located around Tilted Tower, and it is very well hidden. A Low-Security Vault can be found underneath a log pile not too far away from the aforementioned No Sweat Insurance vault. Find a key and break the logs covering the entrance to obtain your reward.
Ridgeline Ranger Station
The vault at Ridgeline Ranger Station is fairly easy to find and is located within the pink bunker. Players need to be vigilant here, as there are plenty of vantage points that enemy players can take to eliminate unsuspecting players. Or, if you are feeling lazy, try hiding in the bush above the bunker and wait for another player to do the work for you.
Picturesque Paradox
This vault is the most well hidden. Players can head to the gas station north of Rocky Reels to locate a Low-Security Vault hidden within a series of bushes and stones. For those that plan on hitting this vault early-game, then consider dropping at the surrounding locations first to increase your chances of finding a key.
Located West of Chonker’s Speedway
The last vault can be found in a small shed next to the house that is west of Chonker’s Speedway. Dropping at the house may prove counterproductive due to the low amount of chests found in this area, so consider dropping at the surrounding locations first to secure a few keys before heading here.
Now that you’ve learned where all the vaults are located, go ahead and reap the benefits of your high-tier loot. What are your thoughts on this new feature? Let us know in the comments.
