According to a new rumor, the next superhero to enter Fortnite will be Miles Morales' Spider-Man, though Epic Games has yet to confirm as much.
A new rumor claims Miles Morales' Spider-Man will serve as the next superhero to hit the Island in Fortnite. Such an addition to the roster would prove fitting since Spider-Man antagonist Prowler just joined Fortnite in Chapter 3 Season 2, alongside Marvel hero Doctor Strange. If Miles does enter the mix sometime soon, he'll join the ranks of other Spidey iterations that have landed in the Item Shop in recent months.
Peter Parker's Spider-Man debuted in Fortnite late last year at the start of Chapter 3 in December 2021. The character's long-awaited introduction also brought web-swinging mechanics to the battle royale. Of course, the theatrical release of Spider-Man: No Way Home also ushered in a couple of MCU skins, including the hero's all-new black and gold attire. Players continue to hold out hope that even more Spidey skins across various mediums will eventually see the light of day in-game. But a supposed leak suggests the crew at Epic Games may have something even more special up its sleeve as far as the webhead is concerned.
If the continued success of Insomniac's Spider-Man: Miles Morales game serves as any indication, the market for Miles Morales content in the interactive medium is vast. Fans of the black and red suit-wearing web-slinger may soon find themselves in luck, then, according to reputable insider and XboxEra host Nick Baker. In a recent Twitter post (via Comicbook.com), Baker claimed to have heard word that Miles will soon join Fortnite's roster of playable heroes. The supposedly leaked information didn't come with a timeline, yet the insider assumes the character could arrive during Chapter 3 Season 2 given Prowler's recent introduction. Baker's tweet reads as follows:

As legitimate as this may sound, Fortnite faithful would do well to remember that Epic Games has yet to corroborate the aforementioned claims. But more Spider-Man content in Fortnite sounds like a no-brainer, especially after Epic hosted the "Amazing Web Week" earlier this month, which ran from March 1 through March 8. Who knows, perhaps a similar week of web-themed additions will soon see Miles Morales deployed on the Island?
Most interesting about Miles Morales' potential arrival on the Fortnite roster is how much he differs from Pete Parker in terms of special abilities. In addition to superhuman speed, strength, reflexes, and so on, Miles also boasts the ability to project energy and venom blasts. His camouflage skill, which allos him to turn nigh on invisible, helps separate the two Spider-Men, as well. Needless to say, such powers would make for quite the addition to Fortnite.
